Hello everyone

It's been quite a while since I posted... For those who don't know me, I'm DayDreamer, and I have been a pretty active digital scrapbooker for big chunks of the past 14 years. I discovered digital scrapbooking in the late 2009's and absolutely fell in love with this mess-free, completely flexible way of scrapping. I love that it combined my passion for preserving memories and writing, and it is such a wonderful creative outlet!

In November 2009 I started scrapping on the creative team of my dear friend, the late Michelle McCoy, the digital scrapbook designer behind CraftyScraps. That's when I started this blog too.

I apologise in advance that some of the links are broken and some of the images have been lost over the years as stores have closed or designers changed.  Onward and upward from now, right!  You can still see quite a few of my layouts if you flip through the pages. I intend to be more active here in future.

For now, let me tell you what I intend to do this year... I'm offering my services to help bring your memories to life in the form of personalised slideshows or layouts.

So please don't be shy! Reach out and lets see how we can get your Valentine's, birthday, anniversary, milestone or other special occasion gifting going...

Hire me, I'm looking forward to helping you turn your pics into personalised slideshows, layouts & gifts to treasure. I look forward to joining you on your journey to relive & cherish your precious pics and memories.

Best wishes always my dear friends

DayDreamer

PS: I now have a Facebook page too... to be honest I'm not sure if it's better to search for ZabraScrap1 or Zabra-Scrap, so please try both & let me know what works best

Please assist: Tauhirah's Cochlear Appeal

Hi Everyone

Some of my best friends really needs your help and prayers/duas. Their little girl Tauhirah has been given the opportunity of a cochlear transplant and the chance to hear, and learn to talk and communicate… things we take for granted everyday… The problem is we need to raise the funds before the end of December or the price goes up by 17%.

Any assistance you can give (sharing this image, the original pdf https://www.dropbox.com/s/3vxymy07cb7d4…/20151025Appeal.p...df… and praying/making dua for her, will mean more to me (and her parents) than you will ever know.

Thank you / JazaakAllah Geyr -

With my best duas/prayers always

Inspired by the Season: Wintery ATC card and Autumn Quote layout with Wordart Freebie

Hi Everyone

I scrapped this layout for a wordart challenge at DigiDesignResort... For this challenge we're given a quote and have to scrap a layout using it... Just a few days before I saw the challenge I saw this awesome pic on Facebook and saved it because I loved the colours so much... and when I saw the quote, I just knew it owuld be perfect. . . Hope you like it... while the layout is simple, I thought it was effective...

I scrapped this using a DigiDesignResort Collab kit called November Romance

I've uploaded the wordart I created as a freebie for you... Enjoy!

Click here to download these wordart
This next layout was done for the Scraplift challenge at DigiDesignResort... I just love these pics of my little nephew... and don't you just love the denim dungaree he's wearing... I thought he was just too adorable for words... I love toddlers in dungarees... I didn't realise it until one of my best friends remarked that I bought everyone's kids dungarees at that age.. oopss!!! LOL :) ... You'll see I've left some space for a title and journalling...

For this layout I used the DigiDesignResort Collab kit called We are Family ... don't you love the colours.

Another thing I've come to enjoy is card making... Here's a "wintery" card I made for the ATC challenge at DigiDesignResort

The kit is called Frimas by Saskia

I'd love to hear what you think of my layouts, so don't be shy... Say hello!

Till next time, happy scrapping

Some Birthday memories

Hi Everyone

Birthdays are always a special time, an exciting time, especially for the little ones in the family... presents, candles and cake, laughter and good wishes, family and friends... who can ask for anything better. . .

Below are two birthday layouts I hope you'll enjoy . . . one of my little guy and his cousin celebrating their birthdays together . . .

I scrapped this layout using the DigiDesignResort's Birthday Party Collab kit

and below is a layout of my father in law on his birthday ... since it was in the week we popped by the evening to wish him and took a few pics as he opened his gift.

I scrapped this layout using the We are family Collab kit at DigiDesignResort.

Hope you've enjoyed these layouts :)

Till we chat again, happy scrapping!

Priceless Treasures . . .

Hi Everyone

I've been blessed with incredibly wonderful family and friends. . . priceless treasures. . . Like my sister. . .

This layout was done for a progressive scrap, so I used quite a few kits for it...

New Years Resolution by Enchanted Realm Designs: Another type of branch

Natural breeze - Wire Mesh.. you can get this kit free when you sign up for the DigiDesignResort website's newsletter

The next layout is of my Dad and his brother. . . this layout got me taking a walk down memory lane. . . you see, my Dad and his siblings live a short 2 hour flight apart, but it might as well have been on a different planet for none of the brothers will get on a plane willingly. . .

When we were young, our whole family would drive down for visits at least once a year and spend at least a month of the summer holidays there. Now that he's gotten older and his health isn't what it use to be, driving is out of the question and these visits have become few and far between... making their times together all the more treasured.

I scrapped this layout using Carena Designs: One for the boys

This next layout I scrapped for a colour challenge at DigiDesign Resort... It's of some pics taken on Mother's Day. . .

I scrapped it with the DigiDesignResort's Eternity Collab kit

And the next one is one of me and my sisters enjoying some "Quality Girl Time"
I scrapped this layout with Carena's Design - My Family History kit

Till we chat again, happy scrapping

Picture perfect moments

Hi Everyone

Have you ever noticed how picture perfect moments sneak up on you when you least expect them??

Well here's one that I could easily have missed... We took some of the little ones to a theme park and I happened to snap this pic of one of my nieces, bored to bits on the "kiddy swings" . . .

I scrapped it with Cajoline - Don't forget me kit

Here's another "sweet pic" of my hubby and the boys... just a regular moment captured . . . but since kids grow up so quickly, looking back after 12 years... they just look sooo adorable and my heart just melts with love and tenderness

I scrapped it with the Wish upon a star Collab kit at DigiDesignResort

Then there are the more obvious special moments...like Eid... here are some of our Eid-ul Fitr layouts

I used two DigiDesignResort kits for this layout... Keepsakes Collab kit and Carena Design's Red rose Romance

It's become a bit of a family tradition to take pics at home before leaving to wish our respective parents and other relatives. . . And of course I love to scrap the moment/occasion each year...

I used a  template for the template challenge at DigiDesignResort and their Lazy Days collab kit

Hope you've enjoyed these layouts and will be capturing your special moments these holidays. . .

Till next time, happy scrapping

Love is in the air

Hi Everyone

Earlier this month my hubby and I celebrated our 10th wedding Anniversary... I scrapped this layout in honour of the occasion and included two of my favourite wedding pics of us and the boys... What an unforgettably magical day . . . I cannot imagine it being more perfect!!!

I scrapped this layout of us using Carena Design's Charming kit. . .
Click here to get it at DigiDesignResort

On 30th April this year, my niece also got engaged. . . I scrapped these pics of the happy couple for a progressive scrap . . . and really like how it turned out . . .

Since it was a progressive scrap, I used a whole range of different kits for this one. . .

Paper, frames, greenery and round item (brown hinges//frames) are from "One day in your life collab"

The sparkle, white flowers and roses: Carena Designs Charming kit

Heart balloon- Eternity Collab kit

Feather scatter - My Endless Love by Butterfly Dsigns

Element of choice: greenery, and 2 different flowers - Carena Design's Always my Love

White ribbons, my element of choice - mesh, Carena Design's Red Rose Romance
