Hello everyone

It's been quite a while since I posted... For those who don't know me, I'm DayDreamer, and I have been a pretty active digital scrapbooker for big chunks of the past 14 years. I discovered digital scrapbooking in the late 2009's and absolutely fell in love with this mess-free, completely flexible way of scrapping. I love that it combined my passion for preserving memories and writing, and it is such a wonderful creative outlet!

In November 2009 I started scrapping on the creative team of my dear friend, the late Michelle McCoy, the digital scrapbook designer behind CraftyScraps. That's when I started this blog too.

I apologise in advance that some of the links are broken and some of the images have been lost over the years as stores have closed or designers changed.  Onward and upward from now, right!  You can still see quite a few of my layouts if you flip through the pages. I intend to be more active here in future.

For now, let me tell you what I intend to do this year... I'm offering my services to help bring your memories to life in the form of personalised slideshows or layouts.

Please assist: Tauhirah's Cochlear Appeal

Hi Everyone
 
Some of my best friends really needs your help and prayers/duas. Their little girl Tauhirah has been given the opportunity of a cochlear transplant and the chance to hear, and learn to talk and communicate… things we take for granted everyday… The problem is we need to raise the funds before the end of December or the price goes up by 17%.

Any assistance you can give (sharing this image, the original pdf https://www.dropbox.com/s/3vxymy07cb7d4…/20151025Appeal.p...df… and praying/making dua for her, will mean more to me (and her parents) than you will ever know.

Inspired by the Season: Wintery ATC card and Autumn Quote layout with Wordart Freebie

Hi Everyone

I scrapped this layout for a wordart challenge at DigiDesignResort... For this challenge we're given a quote and have to scrap a layout using it... Just a few days before I saw the challenge I saw this awesome pic on Facebook and saved it because I loved the colours so much... and when I saw the quote, I just knew it owuld be perfect. . . Hope you like it... while the layout is simple, I thought it was effective... 

I scrapped this using a DigiDesignResort Collab kit called November Romance

This next layout was done for the Scraplift challenge at DigiDesignResort... I just love these pics of my little nephew... and don't you just love the denim dungaree he's wearing... I thought he was just too adorable for words... I love toddlers in dungarees... I didn't realise it until one of my best friends remarked that I bought everyone's kids dungarees at that age.. oopss!!! LOL :) ... You'll see I've left some space for a title and journalling... 
  

For this layout I used the DigiDesignResort Collab kit called We are Family ... don't you love the colours.

Another thing I've come to enjoy is card making... Here's a "wintery" card I made for the ATC challenge at DigiDesignResort

Some Birthday memories

Birthdays are always a special time, an exciting time, especially for the little ones in the family... presents, candles and cake, laughter and good wishes, family and friends... who can ask for anything better. . . 

Below are two birthday layouts I hope you'll enjoy . . . one of my little guy and his cousin celebrating their birthdays together . . .

and below is a layout of my father in law on his birthday ... since it was in the week we popped by the evening to wish him and took a few pics as he opened his gift.

The next layout is of my Dad and his brother. . . this layout got me taking a walk down memory lane. . . you see, my Dad and his siblings live a short 2 hour flight apart, but it might as well have been on a different planet for none of the brothers will get on a plane willingly. . . 

When we were young, our whole family would drive down for visits at least once a year and spend at least a month of the summer holidays there. Now that he's gotten older and his health isn't what it use to be, driving is out of the question and these visits have become few and far between... making their times together all the more treasured.
